Mamma Robin

Outside our living room window in the small tree there is a momma Robbin. She just made her nest a few weeks ago and she sits on her eggs and hunts for worms in our front yard. It's amazing to watch her. We can't wait to see the new baby birds when they finally hatch. We feel so blessed to be living in such a beautiful place.

Have they hatched yet?

I am sad to say we had to rescue the baby bird. Our first bird rescue ended happily....I guess. One morning I noticed the nest gone, we found the baby hatched and on the ground no feathers so still very new. The baby was alive and kept opening and closing his beak, it was so sad. I googled animal rescue and PAWS asked that I bring the baby in. When we got there they said the baby was very cold but would be ok. I don't know what happened to the mommy bird or the nest. :(

Oh, that is very sad. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you were able to rescue the baby though. That was very responsible of you.
