8 1/2 Months Pregnant ~ Last Prego Photos

So I think these are it. The last pregnany photos. The next photos will more than likely be of little Talitha when she's hours old. I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant feeling huge and uncomfortable and very unphotogenic. These photos are for you who still want updates and to see me prego. We have had to post pone our photos with our friend for now but we're looking forward to our family photos in the early fall.

I took these yesterday it's much harder to take pictures of myself than I could have imagined.

Necessary Tools For The Pregnant Woman

#1) Bamboo Back Scratcher : I keep this in the car because I can no longer reach the emergency break under the dashboard. No matter how hard I pull on the steering wheel and stretch I just can't reach it. My solution, a back scratcher the fingers are a perfect fit to hook around the leaver and pull it out.

#2) Pick-Up & Reach Tool : Noe brought this home for me from the hardware store. $1.99. I keep this at my desk at work. I'm constantly dropping pens and post-it pads and things on the floor and when I try and bend down in any direction from my chair it hurts my tummy. I could get up and squat down to pick it up but it just seems much more convenient than crawling under my desk for a roll-a-way pen.

Tummy Tubs

"These water-babes are trying out the latest in child pacifiers at a crèche in Holland.
The youngsters are having 'Tummy Tubs' – warm water baths said to soothe the very young after a gruelling day at the playground.

'It helps to ease the transition from the comfort of the mothers' womb,' say the makers.
The benefits are acknowledged in homes and maternity hospitals throughout Europe where doctors, midwives, health visitors and maternity hospitals endorse it."

It's just a bucket of warm water, might be worth a try someday. These little guys are so cute in their little Jacuzzis.

She Wants Out!

With all the squirming, jabbing, kicking, and punching going on in there it can only mean one thing....

This Kid Wants Out.

At least I know she's still happy and healthy even if she is running out of room.

So So Sleepy.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

I can't beleive how tiring this baby making business can be! I am so exhausted all the time again. I miss the 5th and 6th months when I would feel all energized and I actually cooked for Noe and was able to do all the cleaning.

I am very gratefull to Noe for stepping up and taking care of the dishes and laundry this past month. He doesn't complain at all he just lets me lay on the couch. I feel very blessed to have such a sweeite for a husband!!

Are You Kidding Me?

No one could possibly look this happy while pumping milk and talking on the phone.

You have got to be joking!!

This is an ad I found for a hands free breast pump. This photo is pretty disturbing to someone like me who has never used one. Don't think I will be purchasing this model.

Late Night Kart-Wheels & Karate

So apparently Talitha is more active when I go to bed then any other time of day. 10:00 is when she decides it's play time and she likes to do kart-wheels in my tummy. I talked to a co-worker who suggested setting up a routine now even while she is still in the womb. I thought it couldn't hurt so I gave it a try.

8:00 Tubby Time (nice warm bath),
9:00 read out loud,
10:00 in bed lights out.

Nope, didn't work at all. Last night she was all kinds of rambunctious when I laid down to sleep. Guess I'll just keep trying, but as for now I think I need to change my work schedule to a later time.

Hahaaa, I just noticed what the calender update says today. I am so happy it says soon she'll be to big to move as much as she can now. Whew, what a relief that will be!!

Really Weird Dreams

pregnant

Oh.. look on my calender counter I've moved to the second to last baby! Yaay!

Anywho, about these dreams. I've been having some really bizarre dreams lately. Last night takes the cake though. I dreamt that Talitha was pushing on my tummy and at first I could see a hand or a foot impression from the outside. (This part is normal for some people) but then all of a sudden her head poked out my belly. She was still inside but her head was pushing so hard that my stomach took form of her head and face. She had a short bob hair cut with black hair and dark brown eyes and brown skin. She was smiling at me and all I could think was "ahhhh there's my little girl".

Then I woke up later and I could remember the entire dream crystal clear. Freaky freaky dream. They just seem to get weirder and weirder. Makes me wonder what are they going to be like in a month?? At least I'm not having the awful dreams of forgetting her at the hospital or sitting on her. I've heard some really scary dreams other women have had when they are pregnant.

Waiting......... self portraits 8 months pregnant

We are taking our photos with Amber tomorrow (which will be much better than these) but for some reason today out of the blue I was inspired to take some self portraits and see what I could come up with. Here are a few that I think aren't so bad. I took some others of me in a sheet and also in my pink wrap, but I'm too shy to post those. These will go in Talitha's baby book so she can see what mommy looked like before she was born.

Busy Little Bugga

Yesterday at work I kept count every time I felt Talitha move with the exception of the half hour while I took a nap in my car. I couldn't beleive it between 8:30am and 3:00pm I counted over 100 movements!! Wow, she sure is active in there! There is only another 2 months to go. I can hardly wait to meet her.

Child Birth

I recently read this and I hope to remember this phrase while in labor to help me through with out any medication:

"Childbirth is painful but it is a pain with a purpose that produces a reward that gives meaning to the experience and honor to the women who endure it."

I look forward most to holding our baby immediatly in my arms after birth. Both of us fully alert when we first meet as a family.

Looking at the count down I can hardly beleive there is only a little over 2 months to go!!!

Talitha's Development 30 Weeks Old

Here is what Babycenter.com says about Talitha's development this week:

How your baby's growing:Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Then & Now

Andrew Born 12-31-07 (to see the now scroll down to next post)

Ace Comes For A Visit

Andrew, Amy & Tommy came to visit this past weekend. Poor little guy had some molars coming in and wasn't sleeping well in a new place which made for quite the Grouch Pouch at times. But to me he's still the cutest little guy on the planet! We loved having them stay with us for the whole weekend and were sad when they had to leave. It's amazing to see that my sister is now quite the super mom. She's so patient, loving, and understanding with Andrew. Funny I never saw her as the 'nurturing type' when we were growing up, but she sure has turned out to be a wonderful mother!!
