First Time To The Fair

Riding to the fair in style. We actually headed out to find a new unexplored park late this morning and wound up an hour later running into the fair in Monroe. Talitha was so excited to see the ferris wheel and we had to go in and check it out.
We saw so many things! There was the One Man Band....

cute and cuddly pigs

Silly sheep

and cooky cows.

But Talitha's favorite part was the free kiddie tractor rides

She wanted to try them all

Although the ice cream was certainly delicious!

She had so much fun riding the only 2 rides she was tall enough to ride in the entire park.

I could hardly believe she was all ready to ride by herself. She loved the race cars!

It was so funny to see her make friends. This boy was giving her the thumbs up and she is saluting him back. It was pretty cute!!

And the food was awesome!! Noe got a huge turkey leg and I had corn on the cob. Talitha ate her fair share of both!!

We also brought our salad and watermelon that we had packed for our picnic. MmmmMmmm!

By the end of the day with no nap, Talitha said she was ready to fall asleep in the wagon as we walked back to the car.

I know her better than that though. She waited until after we got home before finally crashing out. We had such a good time. It was a nice surprise to have such a fun family day!!

Wow, those are great pictures and stories. I want to go to the fair! We thought about going on Saturday to one south of us, but instead we called a friend to come babysit and we went out for dinner... not as fun for the kids, but fun for us. :) I hope we go soon though, you made me remember how fun they are. Talitha is so cute on the tractors and in the little race car with her friend.
